Being around the exciting and inviting spirit of America, it's hard to resist the urge to celebrate Thanksgiving and get super happy, like your fellow American colleagues and friends.
After speaking with a number of international students about Thanksgiving, we've come across a common question almost everyone poses - Why is Thanksgiving celebrated?
Historically Thanksgiving was majorly about giving Thanks to God for his blessings bestowed on their families in the last year. In more modern times, the younger generations tend to celebrate Thanksgiving as the time of joy when they enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, eat some scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner or lunch spreads, watch the NFL and celebrate the beginning of Christmas.
