This is for those of you who aren't that into cooking, or are simply the lazier ones of the lot. Thanksgiving Dinner is THE (nice) lavish part that everybody looks forward to. To some it may be mommy's specials, and to some others it is 'The best I've had!' dinner at an epic restaurant.
For those unfortunate ones (like yours truly) who won't be lucky enough to relish mommy's specials, here's a list of our very-thoughtfully-picked restaurants offering some of the best Thanksgiving dinner & experiences in New York City.
The View - 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036
As the name suggests, this place is all about 'the view.' Ever imagined being on a rooftop restaurant that rotates as you dine, without making you dizzy at all! Besides its one-of-a-kind 360-degree view of NYC, The View offers an amazing Thanksgiving dinner buffet for $98 (adults). Though it's on the pricier side, the array of dishes on their menu makes it well worth it. We're personally psyched about the Carving Station ourselves, but there's a lot more to explore!! While reservations aren't a must, we recommend having your reservations beforehand via OpenTable.com or by calling 212.704.8900.
21 Club - 21 West 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019
If you're really into the traditional American dining experience then this place is a MUST visit. Besides the pros of flaunting the best pieces from your wardrobe, the Thanksgiving dinner here is to die for! Not only do you have a ton of delicacies to choose from, but you're also going to be able to enjoy a really unique ambience. Of course fine dining comes at a price, which in this case is a justifiable $135 per adult. If it's something you're pretty much doing once in the year, we recommend you give it a shot. Keep checking their website for offers & more as we get closer to the date.
World Yacht Thanksgiving Cruises - Pier 81, W. 41st St.
If restaurants are a done and dusted kinda deal for you, maybe a lovely cruise experience might be the way to go. World Yacht Cruises is serving up two options this Thanksgiving: a Lunch Buffet and a Thanksgiving Dinner cruise. No matter which one you opt for, get ready to be blown away by the scrumptious meal on the menu. Both cruises offer a generous selection of cold appetizers (from asparagus salad to a toasted black organic barley and wild mushroom salad), an extensive carving station (including turkey, ham, braised beef short ribs, veal, candied yams and a vegetable medley) and traditional seasonal desserts (pumpkin and apple pies, plus cheesecake). The lunch cruise for $62/adult departs at 1:30pm and returns at 3:30, while the dinner cruise for $134/adult begins at 7pm and arrives back by 10pm. Ready for some breathtaking views and extreme thanksgiving food indulgence?
